Running

I got to ~5:20 at the peak of my fitness. Now in my 40s, I can do it in 24:00 with effort. I’m too old for 5ks.

But I can do a half marathon ~1:40, and it feels great. So I turned into one of “those guys” and I run them almost every weekend.

I ran the New York Marathon once in 4:12. But it took me over a month to recover, and I injured myself doing it. I do not plan to ever run a Marathon again, but I am glad I did it once.

So these days it’s at least weekly runs of 9-16 miles and as many short 3 mile runs as I can sneak in around the heat.
